Sheikh Rasheed’s security withdrawn

Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, former interior minister, and Awami Muslim League chief, has slammed the government for withdrawing his protection, claiming it demonstrates the government’s mental breakdown.

The AML chief posted a tweet on Saturday in which he denounced the government saying: “Inflation has risen to 34%. The poor need food, not lectures. The result of by-elections in Punjab could change the political landscape. The government only wants to eliminate cases against it. The gas and electricity prices will go up further. The government has shown its vile mentality after taking back my three security guards.”

The administration removed police security from Sh Rashid on Friday.

As a former federal interior minister, he was given three Islamabad police officers.

It’s worth noting that Sh Rashid had earlier filed a complaint with the Secretariat Police Station Islamabad about his fears of being killed by leaders of the ruling Nawaz League on May 1, 2022.
