Jhang: On Sunday, Assiatant commissioner Jhang Imran Jaffer shot dead by his relatives in his ancestral village, Langrana situated in district Chiniot.
The assistant commissioner had recently taken the charge of assistant commissioner Jhang.
As per the initial report, he has been killed by his opponents who were also his relatives. After verbally abusing him one of his relatives opened fire on him in a fit of rage.
A heavy contingent of police has rushed to the village of Langrana after the news of his murder spread on social media. CM Usman Buzdar has condemned the murder and stark brutality of AC’s relatives. He has ordered inspector general of police to probe into the matter and gave him report within hours.
Punjab IGP Rao Sardar Ali khan also took notice of the incident and ordered DPO Chiniot to rush to the scene and arrest the killers.
