Reducing your intake of saturated fat is only part of a healthy body formula. You need to burn more calories than you eat to avoid having those excess foods stored as body fat. This is where exercise comes into play. An easy exercise to do involves walking instead of taking a car when you are searching nearby. Take the stairs instead of the escalator when you go to the office or shop at the mall. You can make exercise more fun by wearing headphones and listening to music, or doing your own exercises with a friend. Not all of these foods have been linked to all of these conditions, but each one should be avoided where possible.

As there are saturated fats, these foods should be avoided at all costs: All saturated fats and oils are found in butter, buttermilk, palm oil and coconut oil, and bacon oil. Replace these foods: soft (oil-free margarine), olive, safflower, soy, corn, canola, and peanut oil. These foods contain trans fatty acids and/or slightly hydrogenated vegetable oils and should be eaten only in moderation: Strong margarine, plenty of snack crackers, lots of cookies, corn, and potato chips, and abbreviations. These animals contain high levels of fat and can cause severe blockage of the arteries and heart conditions. They should be eaten in very small amounts: beef, pastrami, pork and beef ribs, beef, minced meat, lots of frankfurters, pork sausages, bacon, liver, kidneys, and minced meat. Replace these foods with skinless chicken or turkey, turkey or chicken, ground turkey, fatty beef, veal, pork, lamb, fish, and vegetable dishes including beans, peas, pasta, or rice. Try to eat no more than 2 ounces of meat, fish, or poultry per day. Replace your diet with healthy vegetables, pasta, and rice. Be aware of fat deposits in dairy products. Drink skim milk or 1%. Replace other dairy products such as cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, and snack cheese with their low-fat or low-fat versions.
