On the first day of the work week, the US dollar continued to depreciate against the Pakistani Rupee and lost 60 paisas in value in interbank trading.
The American dollar dropped by 60 paisas, reaching Rs204.25 in relation to the local currency.
The US dollar’s Friday closing price last week was Rs204.85.
After Pakistan received the Memorandum of Economic and Fiscal Policies (MEFP) from the IMF for the combined seventh and eighth reviews of its $6 billion loan programme, which has been stalled since April, the local currency has been performing well.
