Punjab anti-corruption dept starts investigation against Farah Gogi

On Thursday, the Punjab government’s anti-corruption division has begun looking into the corruption allegations against Bushra Bibi’s friend.

The department was looking into the construction of the Mongolia Housing Society in Gujranwala by Ghausia Builders, the company Gogi owns and whose plots are allegedly what she sold despite the fact that they never existed.

According to additional sources, the department also requested records from the Gujranwala Development Authority for that reason.

Including the fact that the investigation into Gogi was started as a result of complaints from those allegedly affected by the scam.

Gogi has been under the scrutiny of the PML-N-led coalition government ever since the PTI lost power, which gives the impression that the new administration wants to settle scores with former prime minister Imran Khan, whose wife Bushra is close friends with Gogi.

Initially, it was reported, that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had opened an investigation into her.

Additionally, on May 26, 2022, it was reported that the Bureau had summoned four people in relation to the investigation into the graft allegations against her.
