A session court in Lahore confirmed on Monday the interim bail granted to PTI leaders in the case involving a brawl in the Punjab Assembly (PA) building and the torture of PA Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari.
According to information obtained, the court held a hearing to consider issuing interim releases to PTI leaders Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, and Sibtain Khan, and others.
The PTI leaders testified in court that the police had filed an unfounded and false complaint against them. They also said they wanted to take part in the investigation but were afraid of being arrested by the police.
They demanded that the court confirm their temporary release on bail and prevent their arrest of them by the police.
The court then approved the interim bail for each PTI leader.
