Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja announced on Friday that the Board of Governors (BoG) has approved a Rs15 billion budget for the Board for the upcoming fiscal year.

During a news conference in Lahore, Ramiz Raja revealed the budget details, stating that approximately 78 percent of the allocated budget will be used for cricketing activities in the country. The majority of these funds will be used to upgrade stadiums and improve the country’s infrastructure.

Ramiz Raja stated that the PCB’s top priority is to upgrade the country’s stadiums, as Pakistan is set to host the Asia Cup next year and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.

He also stated that the PCB management has already upgraded the seating in two stadiums in the country and is planning to replace the lights at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

He stated that the PCB must provide the best facilities to national team players and that their primary goal should be to invest in the players and the future of Pakistan cricket.

Furthermore, he announced an increase in match fees for national players as well as an increase in fees for non-playing players.

Ramiz stated that the PCB is in a strong financial position and that its primary goal is to promote the game even more in the country and to provide a platform for young cricketers to excel.
