A Karachi doctor who had been arrested for allegedly giving a child the wrong injection, resulting in his death, was brought before a judicial magistrate on Tuesday, who sentenced him to jail on judicial remand.
The magistrate sentenced Dr. Umar to judicial remand and directed that the child’s body be exhumed for a post-mortem examination.
The judicial magistrate’s court also ordered the health secretary to establish a medical board in this regard.
The court also requested a progress report by June 24.
