Ratti Gali, a tourist destination in Azad Jammu Kashmir’s Neelum Valley, received a three-inch snowfall on Tuesday, disrupting daily life.
A large number of tourists are present at the base camp because they want to visit the nearby lake.
The recent snowfall has chilled the weather in the valley.
The district administration has advised tourists not to visit the lake because the road has become slippery, potentially resulting in an untoward incident.
Heavy rains are expected to cause landslides in vulnerable areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan over the next 36 hours, according to the Met Office.
Heavy rains may cause flash flooding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Northeast Balochistan.
Flooding may occur in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Lahore due to heavy rains. Windstorms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan may cause damage to loose structures.
On Wednesday, rain-windstorm/thundershower conditions are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper/central Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir. Other parts of the country can expect hot and dry weather.
