More 5% to 10% increase in railways fares announced

Train rates were raised again on Saturday as a result of the recent increase in petroleum product prices.

The government has hiked freight costs by 10%, while passenger train fares have climbed by 5%.

In addition, the government has increased luggage van fares by 5%. The revised fares will take effect on June 21st, according to the notice.

It’s worth noting that just four days ago, on June 14, passenger rail rates were increased by 10% and freight train fares were increased by 15%.
