Seven people were killed, including a rescue official, and three others were injured in at least 120 forest fires in the Malakand division, including the Swat district, over the past few days.
According to Malakand Commissioner Shaukat Ali Yousafzai’s detailed report on forest fires, 30 people have been charged in connection with forest fires, and 24 people have been arrested.
According to the report, every precaution is being taken to protect the forests, with officials from the administration, the rescue service, and the Forest Department keeping a 24-hour vigil.
