Railways director kidnapped in Rawalpindi

Dr. Omer Awab Khan, Director Hospital of Pakistan Railways, was abducted in broad daylight on his way home from work in Rawalpindi.

The doctor’s family filed a complaint with the Ratta Amral police station about his kidnapping.

“My father-in-law, Dr. Omer Awab Khan, was on his way home from duty at the railway hospital when he was abducted,” said Dr. Omer’s daughter-in-law in the FIR.

She claimed, “My father-in-law has been missing since June 7.”

Dr. Abdul Aziz, Dr. Omer Awab Khan’s son-in-law, has asked the police to ensure the abducted doctor’s safe return.

Meanwhile, staff from the railway hospital, as well as students and family members of Dr. Omer Awab Khan, staged a protest against his kidnapping, demanding that the authorities ensure his safe return.
