President Arif Alvi arrived in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) on Tuesday for a four-day official visit.
At the airport, senior civil officials welcomed the president, including GB Chief Minister Muhammad Khalid Khurshid, GB Assembly Speaker Syed Amjad Zaidi, provincial ministers, Chief Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Saeed Wazir.
During his visit to the Fatima Jinnah Model Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Alvi will announce the launch of the Chief Minister Scholarship Program for government school students, in addition to attending the University of Baltistan’s convocation.
