Two PML-N MPAs lock horns over Patwari in Gujranwala

Two PML-N ministers in the Punjab Assembly have clashed over the nomination of a Patwari in Gujranwala.

Two PML-N MPAs stay busy posting and transferring a specific Patwari (land revenue official) in Khiali Shahpur Circle, as the poor guy has been posted and relocated three times in a month in a peculiar tug-of-war.

According to sources, the appointment of Patwari was first referred to the deputy commissioner’s office, then the commissioner’s office, and finally the Punjab chief minister’s office.

MPA Nawaz Chauhan claimed that Khiali Shahpur was his constituency, and that MPA Imran Khalid Butt was intruding on his territory.

MPA Butt, on the other hand, stated that he was not intervening in anyone’s constituency because the issue of Patwari was handled by the Punjab Chief Minister’s office.
