Punjab to establish anti-rape crisis cells in public hospitals.

In a revolutionary step, the Punjab government has announced the establishment of anti-rape crisis cells in public hospitals across the province.

The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, where the setup of these crisis cells in government hospitals was discussed in detail.

Khawaja Salman Rafique highlighted that collecting evidence data in the Anti-Rape Crisis Cells is necessary for the time.

He also said that the scope of these crisis cells would be expanded across the province, ensuring strict legislation to combat sexual violence.

“To improve the working of the Anti-Rape Crisis Cells, necessary steps will be taken,” Salman Rafique added.

The initiative aims to improve the support system for rape victims and improve the overall handling of such cases in the province.
