The closure reports regarding famous American cable TV channel Cartoon Network have ignited an online debate among old fans.
The speculations began when an X account named “Animation Workers Ignited” shared a post suggesting that “Cartoon Network is essentially dead” with a hashtag #RIPCartoonNetwork.
The news shocked many fans.

The animation industry became one of the few entertainment industries to remain active during lockdowns to continue production remotely when COVID-19 surfaced.
However, the post maintained that many animators are currently unemployed while some having been out of work for over a year.

However, these claims are entirely false and have been strongly denied by the channel.
Is Cartoon Network closing down permanently?
In an official statement, Cartoon Network said, “Cartoon Network would like to clarify that there is no truth to the speculation that the network or the studio is shutting down. With a number of recently announced greenlights, we remain committed to continually investing in innovative content that entertains and inspires our viewers across the globe,” said the channel in its statement.
Cartoon Network is not closing down and the rumors are totally false.
