Punjab CM launches program of home delivery of medicines.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing healthcare accessibility across the province.
In a recent ceremony held in Lahore, CM Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Free Medicines Delivery program, designed to provide essential medications to patients grappling with various ailments, including tuberculosis, hepatitis, and cardiovascular diseases.
During her address, CM Maryam highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to delivering top-tier healthcare services to the populace.
She underscored the program’s significance as part of broader efforts to enhance healthcare provisions, emphasizing the expeditious implementation of the initiative within a remarkable eight-week timeline.

Under the first phase of the initiative, medications will be distributed to an estimated two hundred thousand patients in collaboration with the private sector.
CM Maryam Nawaz reminisced about the project’s inception by her family members, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, which had been stalled during the tenure of the PTI government.

Furthermore, CM Maryam Nawaz outlined plans for the extensive refurbishment of 300 Basic Health Units (BHUs) across Punjab, signifying a comprehensive overhaul of the healthcare infrastructure.

The session focused on strategic restructuring efforts aimed at bolstering the health department and augmenting services at Rural Health Centers (RHCs) and dispensaries.
