CIA knew of Ukraine plan to blow up the Nord Stream pipeline. A low-level computer technician in the US Air National Guard who had access to a significant amount of highly classified information allegedly released US intelligence earlier this year.

According to the released documents, Ukraine’s military divers answering directly to the nation’s military commander-in-chief were preparing the operation in June 2022, four months after Russia invaded Ukraine. This information was relayed to the US spy agency by an unknown European intelligence organization.

On September 26, undersea explosions shook the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which were constructed to transport natural gas from Russia to Germany. As a result, they are no longer functional, and Russia is no longer able to profit from this potential source of billions of dollars in revenue.

The suspected sabotage, which cut off vital energy supplies for Europe just as the price of oil was increasing due to the war, triggered a regional emergency.

As the CIA knew of Ukraine plan to blow up the Nord Stream pipeline, several nations, including Russia, the United States, and Ukraine, were accused, although they all denied involvement.

According to The Post, which cited anonymous sources, the United States informed partners, notably Germany, about the alleged bombing plot as soon as the Central Intelligence Agency became aware of it.

It said that the initial European intelligence on the plot demonstrated that it was not a rogue operation and that General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the military’s top commander, oversaw it without the knowledge of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to data acquired by German police and cited in the Post, a six-person crew operating under phony passports sailed away from the German port of Rostock in September of last year to carry out the operation.

What seemed to be a front firm had rented the vessel.

The head of the front firm also resides in Kyiv, and information from the emails used to charter a yacht links them to Ukraine, according to German media sources from last week.

Danish media, however, recently stated that soon before the sabotage occurred, a Russian naval submarine-specific vessel was spotted close by.
