‘Tere Bin’ OST back on YouTube as Zee Music accusations turned out to be false

'Tere Bin' OST back on YouTube as Zee Music accusations turned out to be false

Lollywood frequently accuses Bollywood of blatantly plagiarising the content of Pakistani dramas, including music. And the battle against plagiarism has begun once more among neighboring countries, but this time Zee Music has revealed that the OST of the blockbuster drama Tere Bin is a copy of the melodic section of ‘Mera Intkam Dekhegi’ from the film Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana.

As a result of the claim, the OST and several episodes were removed from YouTube. However, the allegation was proven false, and the OST was reinstated.

Tere Bin, Geo Entertainment’s latest hit starring Yumna Zaidi and Wahaj Ali, has been a huge success for the channel. It has received excellent television ratings and has trended online for each episode even across the country.

Furthermore, the OST was a huge success across all platforms, with 15 million views on YouTube alone.

Following Zee Music’s recent claim, some people pointed out similarities between the two songs, but the response has been overwhelmingly in support of the Pakistani serial. Fans are outraged and call it an injustice. Some claimed the reason was jealousy because the OST and serial were doing well on YouTube in India.

There has been no official statement from Zee Music or Geo Entertainment regarding this matter.

One of the drama’s scenes, in which Meerub falls into a swimming pool, has generated a lot of buzzes since the teasers were released.

Finally, fans got to see that scene in the drama’s most recent episode, which aired yesterday.

In a recent interview, Yumna Zaidi talked about her viral swimming pool scene of Tere Bin. She said, “I have my reservations while doing any drama, and Wahaj and Siraj bhai (director of the drama) knew it. Hence, they did not force me to do this scene. I was the one who asked them to do this scene because the such scene had never been shot in the history of Pakistani drama. Therefore, I was, therefore, interested in doing this scene for the sake of my audience.”

She detailed that Wahaj was not letting go of her hand because it was a dangerous scene but everything was perfect and technically set. “It was shot in reality, and my heart was also sinking because such scenes can injure you,” she added.
