Imran Khan vows No deal’ after Iddat case verdict. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), addressed the media today following a controversial verdict declaring his nikkah with wife Bushra Bibi as illegal and unIslamic.

Khan asserted that the sole purpose of the Iddat case against him and his spouse was to humiliate him, maintaining a steadfast refusal to make any deals, regardless of the consequences.

The verdict, delivered earlier today by Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah at Adiala Jail, sentenced both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to seven years in jail each.

The case revolved around allegations from Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband, Khawar Maneka, who contended that their nikkah was conducted during the Iddat period, making it un-Islamic and illegal.

In response to the court’s decision, Imran Khan emphasized his unwavering stance against compromise, stating, “I have never made a deal and will not do it in the future.”

He expressed frustration over what he perceives as a concerted effort to weaken him through numerous legal cases, noting that the sentence in the Toshakhana case was unprecedented.

Highlighting the broader context, Khan lamented the closure of cases against his political rival Nawaz Sharif, who had been disqualified by the Supreme Court.

Imran Khan claimed that around 200 cases were fabricated against him, yet he remained resolute, refusing to compromise his principles.

During the courtroom announcement, both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were present, and the judge imposed a fine of Rs500,000 on each of them in addition to the seven-year jail sentence.

As Imran Khan vows No deal’ after Iddat case verdict, the couple plans to challenge the verdict, and the legal proceedings continue to draw attention as political tensions persist.
