As the birthday of Allama Iqbal approaches near, netizens are speculating about the holiday on Iqbal day.

However, the government did not issue any notification regarding the holiday uptill now.

Last year, the government announced the public holiday for November 9.

Born on November 9, 1877, in Sialkot, Allama Iqbal emerged as an influential figure in the Indian politics, playing a crucial role in the Pakistan movement.

As a modern Sufi poet, Iqbal inspired a revolutionary spirit among the nation through his impactful poetry.

Unfortunately, Iqbal did not live to see Pakistan’s independence, passing away on April 21, 1938.

Sir Muhammad Iqbal was a South Asian Islamic philosopher, poet and politician.

His poetry is considered to be among the greatest of the 20th century, and his vision of a cultural and political ideal for the Muslims of British-ruled India is widely regarded as having animated the impulse for the Pakistan Movement.
