Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched “Punjab Dhee Rani – Sab Say Achi Sab Say Sayani (daughter of Punjab – best of all, wise of all) Scheme”, reported The Asian Mirror.
New scheme
- This scheme will give newly-wed couple will get Rs100,000 through ATM as ‘salami’ while meal will be served to around 20 guests.
- All the newly-wed couples will be given necessary furniture, crockery, clothes and other necessary goods for domestic use.
How to apply
Interested and deserving applicants can apply for mass weddings through CMP.Punjab.gov.pk online.
The chief minister also ordered to establish a helpline 1312 to help couples willing to take part in the mass weddings.
Special teams will visit the residences of successful applicants for verification and to ensure transparency in the process.
