Mumbai Police ramped up security around the Jio World Convention Centre in the Bandra-Kurla Complex after a cryptic bomb threat emerged on X during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding.

According to Indian media reports, the heightened security measures were implemented over the weekend at the venue of the year’s most talked-about wedding.

The action was triggered by a controversial post from a user on X, which ominously suggested, “A shameless thought crept into my mind that if a bomb went off at Ambani’s wedding, half the world would turn upside down. Trillions of dollars in one pin code.”

Despite the post being considered a hoax, Mumbai police acted swiftly upon being alerted by another social media user.

They fortified security to ensure the protection of the high-profile attendees. Authorities are currently working to track down the individual behind the alarming post.

In related news, two persons were arrests for gatecrashing the ceremony.

Anant Ambani, 29, the scion of Reliance Group, married his long-term partner, Radhika Merchant, 29, heiress to Viren and Shaila Merchant’s Encore Healthcare, on Friday.

The celebrations extended through the weekend with ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ and ‘Mangal Utsav’ ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday.
