Kajol’s co-star from ‘The Trial’ webseries found dead in Mumbai flat.
The Indian film industry mourns the loss of actor Noor Malabika Das, whose lifeless body was discovered in her apartment in Lokhandwala, Mumbai.
The 37-year-old, known for her role in the 2023 legal drama ‘The Trial’ alongside actor Kajol, is suspected to have died by suicide, as per the police.
Das, a former air hostess with Qatar Airways, had transitioned into acting and had been residing alone in her flat.

Concerned neighbors alerted the police after noticing a foul smell emanating from her residence.
Upon breaking the door, authorities found her body in an advanced state of decomposition.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association has called upon Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

The organization stressed the need for the government to delve into the underlying causes of such tragic incidents in the film industry.
She acted in a few films and web series, including ‘Siskiyaan’, ‘Walkaman’, ‘Teekhi Chatni’, ‘Jaghanya Upaya’, ‘Charamsukh’, ‘Dekhi Andekhi’, and ‘Backrod Hustale’.
