Hidden cameras have been found inside girls hostel’s washroom in Lahore.

In a disturbing turn of events, hidden cameras have been discovered in two separate locations: a private girls’ hostel in Lahore’s Johar Town and a private school in Karachi’s Safoora Goth area, The Asian Mirror reported on Sunday.

Lahore Incident:

The incident in Lahore unfolded at a girls’ hostel where hidden cameras were found installed inside the washrooms.

The alarming discovery prompted immediate action from local authorities.

A case has been registered against the hostel owner, his wife, and seven other suspects following a complaint filed by a student’s uncle.

According to police officials, all accused individuals have fled the scene, leading to an ongoing manhunt.

In response to the incident, the hostel has been evacuated, and investigators have recorded statements from over 40 students who confirmed the presence of the hidden cameras.

Karachi Incident:

In a separate case, hidden cameras were discovered in the women’s washrooms of a private school in Karachi’s Scheme-33, Safoora Goth area.

The discovery came to light after the female staff at the school voiced their suspicions to the Sindh Education and Literacy Department.

Acting on this tip-off, the department’s team conducted a raid and found concealed cameras behind the washroom basins.

The immediate aftermath saw the private school’s registration being scrapped by the authorities, highlighting the seriousness of the violation.

Public Outrage and Security Concerns:

These incidents have sparked widespread outrage and raised significant concerns about privacy and safety in educational institutions and accommodations.

The swift actions by the authorities—evacuating the premises, launching investigations, and revoking the school’s registration—are critical steps in addressing these severe breaches of trust.

However, these events underscore the urgent need for increased vigilance and the implementation of robust security measures in schools and hostels.

Ensuring the privacy and safety of students and staff must become a top priority to prevent such violations in the future.
