Hyderabad businesswoman has been arrested for alleged kidnapping of TV anchor.
In a startling turn of events, a 31-year-old businesswoman from Hyderabad has been apprehended by authorities on charges of stalking and kidnapping a prominent TV music channel anchor, with reports suggesting her intention to force marriage upon him.
According to police statements released on Friday, the accused, who operates a digital marketing firm, purportedly stumbled upon photos of the TV anchor on a matrimonial website approximately two years ago.
Believing them to belong to an account holder, she initiated communication with the individual. However, her discovery that the photos were of the TV anchor, not the account holder, did little to deter her pursuit.

Undeterred, the woman proceeded to obtain the anchor’s contact details and persisted in messaging him, despite being informed of the fraudulent use of his photo on the matrimonial site.
Her relentless pursuit culminated in the anchor blocking her number, signaling an end to their correspondence.
However, driven by a steadfast determination to wed the anchor, the woman allegedly orchestrated a chilling plan to abduct him.
Enlisting the help of four individuals, she reportedly deployed a tracking device on the anchor’s vehicle to monitor his movements.
On February 11, the meticulously planned abduction was executed, with the victim forcibly taken to the woman’s office premises.
There, he endured a brutal assault before succumbing to the demands imposed upon him by his captors.
Only after acquiescing to the woman’s wishes was he released, with fears for his safety looming large.
In the aftermath of the harrowing ordeal, the TV anchor lodged a formal complaint with the Uppal police station, prompting swift action from law enforcement.
Subsequently, a case was registered against the accused under pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges of kidnapping, wrongful restraint, and wrongful confinement.
Following a thorough investigation into the matter, authorities succeeded in apprehending not only the principal suspect, the businesswoman, but also the four individuals enlisted to execute the kidnapping plot.
