Indian woman sets world record with most teeth. In a remarkable feat, 26-year-old Kalpana Balan from India has secured a place in the Guinness World Records for possessing the highest number of teeth in a person’s mouth (female).
With an impressive count of 38 teeth, Kalpana surpasses the average adult by six teeth, as confirmed by the Guinness World Records blog.
Her dental record puts her ahead of the male record holder, Evano Mellone from Canada, who boasts an extraordinary 41 teeth.
The uniqueness of Kalpana’s dental structure lies in the presence of four additional mandibular (lower jaw) teeth and two extra maxillary (upper jaw) teeth.

Surprisingly, these teeth began appearing one by one during her teenage years, causing no discomfort or hindrance to her eating habits.
Upon discovering the emerging teeth, Kalpana’s parents were initially taken aback and suggested immediate removal.
However, her dentist advised patience, emphasizing that the removal process would be more effective once the teeth had fully developed.
Despite the option to undergo a medical procedure to extract the additional teeth, Kalpana opted to retain them, expressing a fear of the process.
As Indian woman sets world record with most teeth, she reflects on her decision as a “lifetime achievement” and expresses her joy at securing the prestigious title.
