He has the distinction of scoring the most runs in the first 100 ODI innings, having smashed 5142 runs.

As Babar Azam sets another ODI record, Hashim Amla previously held the record, scoring 4946 runs in his first 100 ODI innings. Viv Richard is third with 4607 points, followed by Shai Hope (4436) and Joe Root (4428).

Mohammad Babar Azam is a Pakistani international cricketer and the captain of the Pakistan national team. He is widely regarded as one of the best batters in modern cricket.

He is the top batter in ODIs, third in T20Is, and fifth in Tests. He is a right-handed top-order batter who plays for and captains Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League and Central Punjab in Pakistan’s domestic cricket. He is the joint most successful T20I captain of all time, with 42 victories.

Azam‘s maiden T20 century of 122 which he scored against South Africa is the highest current individual score by a Pakistani in the format.

Azam was a member of the Pakistan team that won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.
