Why Shaheen and Ansha’s wedding got postponed?
But in a recent conversation with a local media outlet, the bride’s father, Shahid Afridi, suggested a delay. The ceremony cannot go as planned since the Asia Cup 2023 is being played in September of this year and because the dates coincide with the eagerly anticipated event.
The former T20 skipper stressed the importance of the Asia Cup for Shaheen and the Pakistan cricket team, adding that devotion to one’s country always comes first.
Afridi and Ansha were wed in a nikkah ceremony in Karachi earlier this year; the majority of the event was kept private because phones were not permitted out of respect for the family’s privacy, but some of the guests and the event management firm published pictures of the intimate gathering.
