Television CEO Channing Dungey says Cartoon Network will still exist, but it remains unclear how things will run.

He further shared a company-wide internal memo stating that WB is “implementing a new streamlined structure in which the development and main production teams will now work across both Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios.”

Some of the sources reveal that Cartoon Network is going to merge with another network.

After the news was blown out of proportion, resulting in a rumor about Cartoon Network “ending as we know it,” millennials from the world over began sharing nostalgic tweets and Insta Stories to express their love for the beloved channel and how it shaped who they are today.

However, Cartoon Network has something to say about all that’s been cooking in light of the merger.

“Y’all we’re not dead, we’re just turning 30,” a tweet on Cartoon Network’s official Twitter handle reads. Shared on the micro-blogging site earlier today, it adds, “To our fans: We’re not going anywhere. We have been and will always be your home for beloved, innovative cartoons. More to come soon!”

Social media users from around the world have been penning down their childhood memories of being associated with some of the channel’s most iconic shows and characters.

Several remembered watching Bugs Bunny, Looney Toons, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Power puff Girls, and Tom & Jerry, among so many others.

“It’s the end of an era. End of our old childhood days. Don’t know why but this makes me a little emotional. Thank you, Cartoon Network, for bringing smiles and joy back in the days,” a tweet shared.

“It was always Cartoon Network over Disney and Nickelodeon for me,” said another.

“Me watching my childhood fade away on Twitter every day,” posted a third.

“Thank you for the memories. RIP Bro,” tweeted one more.

Cartoon Network was founded on October 1, 1992.

The Deadline report suggested that the downsizing could be associated with Warner Bros.

Discovery CEO David Zaslav’s efforts to find $3 billion in savings after the merger, which left the company with a net loss of $3.4 billion.
