Biggest Fundraising in Pakistan through IK’s telethon
The unprecedented rains and floods in Pakistan have caused massive destruction in different places of the country. The Government of Pakistan has announced it as a highly sensitive situation considering colossal misfortunes of life, property, foundation, and death of animals with total 33 million individuals have been impacted and 1000 lives have been lost.
The whole Pakistani country, common society and philanthropic associations have ventured forward to aid the flood victims and have appealed international states to come forward and help citizens of Pakistan in this difficult times.
Countries including United Kingdom, European Union states and United States have stepped forward to donate and help people of Pakistan facing the challenges of flood situations. As flood in Pakistan have devastated the local communities due to which UK has decided to step forward by providing up to £1.5 million in order to help the immediate aftermath of flood. UK has given the statement of standing with Pakistan in this time of need.
In the same way, the European Union is providing 7.6 crore PKR as a crucial humanitarian assistance to all the families which are affected by severe flooding, across many parts of Pakistan. The aid will focus on addressing all the urgent needs of those who have been affected in hardest-hit districts including Jhal Magsi and Lasbella in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan.
Similarly, United States has also assured of standing with Pakistan at this challenging time and further stressed upon building climate resilience all over the world. US has stepped forward with the donation of around 24 crore PKR for assisting people in this difficult time.

In the same way, former prime minister Imran Khan also held an international telethon for raising the funds for flood victims from oversees Pakistanis. As the overseas Pakistanis participated in the telethon and directly spoke to Chairman PTI Imran Khan via telephonic calls to offer their donations for the flood-hit victims.
