The controversy unfolded when Nasir was captured on video slapping and forcefully pushing an elderly woman to the ground during an attempt to apprehend a suspect.

According to reports from police officials, the altercation occurred as law enforcement officers were trying to arrest a man identified as Basir Khan, who was allegedly involved in a series of pick-pocketing incidents.

Basir Khan, accompanied by the elderly woman, believed to be his mother, resisted the arrest, leading to a confrontation with the police.

In footage circulating online, ASI Imtiaz Nasir is seen amidst a crowd of bystanders, attempting to manage the situation.

However, tensions escalate, and Nasir is witnessed striking the elderly woman, causing her to fall to the ground, eliciting audible shock and disapproval from onlookers.

Following the incident, Basir Khan was successfully detained and transported to the police station for further questioning.

City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani swiftly responded to the incident, ordering the Superintendent of Police (SP) to launch a comprehensive investigation and submit a detailed report.
