MQM-P delegation leaves Jati Umra after meeting PML-N leadership.

A high-level delegation from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), led by convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and comprising prominent figures such as Dr. Farooq Sattar, Kamran Tessori, and Mustafa Kamal, concluded a significant meeting with the top leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) at Jati Umra.

The meeting, which lasted for approximately one hour, saw discussions between the two parties regarding potential collaboration and the formation of a coalition government.

The delegation arrived at the Sharif residence slightly after 11:30 am, indicating the importance both sides placed on the dialogue.

Notably, no press conference was held by either party following the meeting, leaving the specifics of the discussions undisclosed to the public.

However, the timing of the interaction is significant, given recent calls by PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif for opposition parties, excluding the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to unite for political purposes.

This engagement follows reports that PML-N’s Shehbaz Sharif had engaged in discussions with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari regarding potential coalition-building efforts.

However, both leaders have expressed intentions to consult with their respective parties before making any final decisions in this regard.

The meeting between MQM-P and PML-N underscores the evolving political landscape in Pakistan, as opposition parties explore avenues for cooperation amid ongoing political challenges and the pursuit of common objectives.

As MQM-P delegation leaves Jati Umra after meeting PML-N leadership, its occurrence signals a potential shift in political alliances and strategies in the country’s dynamic political arena.
