Former prime minister and current leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Shehbaz Sharif, arrived in London on Sunday.
After his 16-month term in the government came to an end this month, the younger Sharif is making his first trip to the UK. Salman Shehbaz, the former premier’s son, is traveling with him.
Shehbaz will meet with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif during his trip to London, according to party sources. Other significant party leaders will attend and meet with him there as well.
To participate in the aforementioned meetings between the party’s leadership, during which Nawaz’s return would be discussed, several former federal ministers are already in the capital city of the UK.
According to PML-N sources, the party’s legal team is also anticipated to take part in the discussions about the party supremo’s legal obstacles.

Nawaz is expected to return to Pakistan by mid-September, according to a report from Geo News last week. The PML-N leader will depart for Pakistan from London “after a month,” according to a Sharif family source who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Nawaz was advised by the legal and political representatives of the Sharif family to return to Pakistan right away after his two-month trip to Europe and the Middle East, which ended last week when he arrived in London.
Some party members, however, discouraged him from doing so and suggested that he postpone the return for one month.
Shehbaz Sharif announced on August 9 that Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan in September and that he would travel to London to have extensive discussions with his older brother about this.
“Nawaz Sharif will come back to Pakistan next month and will face the law and lead the election campaign,” he told Capital Talk show host Hamid Mir in an interview without giving the exact date of Nawaz’s homecoming who has been in self-imposed exile in London since November 2019 owing to health reasons.
After being found guilty by an accountability court in graft cases, Nawaz traveled to London for medical attention in November 2019 and has since been residing there.
Nawaz resigned as prime minister in 2016 after the Supreme Court permanently barred him from hiding assets.
